Outreach Programme

The NDA believes strongly in reaching out into the community of which it is part, creating more opportunities to engage with the city and enrich its people. Through its Outreach Programme, the NDA aims to bring the city and its people in contact with the joy and inspiration of music in new, suprising and dynamic ways. As part of the NDA's Outreach Programme, the NDA regularly presents:

  • Concerts on location for senior and less-mobile citizens at a number of retirement homes in The Hague area
  • Informal and improptu concert performances at unusual venues/locations including cafes, pubs and shops
  • Initiatives for amateur musicians to get involved, including the annual Baroque Summer and Baroque Winter weeks

Upcoming Outreach Events

On Saturday 7 August 2010 commencing at 1pm, Simon Murphy, conducting the 2010 Baroque Summer Orchestra, will present the 2010 Baroque Summer's "Het Strand Concert" at Den Haag's Zuiderstrand, in co-operation with strandtent "De Fuut". The initiative sees 18th century orchestral music by Mozart, Boccherini and Reichardt being performed on the beach at an event which is free (gratis) for all.
